Why
?
Note From Jimbo - "I’ve been making money
on the internet for over six years. I started
with a binary marketing system that sold an
awesome product related to the huge automobile
care industry. At the time I didn't understand
the ramifications of a binary marketing system
(they are not good), but I love the product and
still use it today. Then I got involved selling
internet advertising to small businesses. After
a year and a half working with a certain
program (that is now all but defunct) I decided
to go my own way completely and search out new
companies that fit in with the concept of
making money online honestly. This website is
the culmination of over one year of research,
testing and of course the actual creation of
these pages. Honesty doesn't suck."
What
are honest internet income
streams? - To us an honest
income stream is one that allows you to
earn without having to sell a product
that people don't really need
and
doesn’t
rely on triggering an emotional response
to hyped up advertising. All the hype and
fluff out there isn’t always a flat out
lie; (although a lot of times it is) but
most of it is, at the very least,
“embellished.” Like most network
marketers we use to spend a lot of our
time and advertising dollars on
convincing leads that what we were
selling was something they needed. One
day a close friend said; “don’t you feel
guilty taking people’s money by lying to
them?” We hadn't ever quite looked at it
as lying. But she was right. We figured
that if we
spent money
on things that didn’t really work as
promised, it was OK to expect the same of
others. We no longer do that. It really
isn't honest.
This
all seems complicated. Will I really make
money? At first glance it may
seem complicated but as you go along you
will gain a much better understanding of
how the internet works. You will also
come to see how the other companies that
we've decided are the most honest to work
with on the web today
want you to make money, not just spend
money. How much or how
little you earn is up to you.
is here to make
it easier than ever to get to the
level of earnings you desire. You
can be a part of the team and get
loads of help with every aspect of
what it takes to earn extra income
or actually make a living. In all
reality, making money on the
internet is not nearly as
complicated as starting a new
"brick and mortar" business. We
know.
Is
MLM the same as a pyramid scheme?
Not even. A
pyramid scheme is a method of paying
members in a group by constantly
recruiting new members and using their
fees to pay the older members. This
doesn't involve selling an actual
product. Some MLM companies walk a fine
line between what is legal and honest and
what's not by selling a useless product
that none of the members really use. It
is these types of companies that have
given the term multi-level marketing a
bad name in the last 20 or so years. The
internet is changing everything most
people thought they new about business
plans very rapidly. We like the term
network marketing better anyway.
Why
is this website free?
We don't
want nor do we need you to pay us
directly. More than one team member has
suggested that we make this a paid
membership website. No way. To keep it
all honest we don't feel anyone should
pay anything to find out if they like
something or have the aptitude for it.
We want to help you learn how to earn
in your own way that you find fun. As
you join the programs here and build
your teams we will all make money by
showing you and your team how and
helping you to make money.
I'm
not quite sure what to do first.
Catch one
of us in the chat room
here
and someone will point you in the
right direction depending on what
your goals are.
There's
a lot going on here, I need an overview
or a quick rundown of the basics.
As a basic
outline you can look at the following as
the fundamentals of making a living from
the internet:
- Basic Web Skills -
registering domains and how to build
a web page/site and host it. (This is
ten times easier now than it was just
four or five years ago!)
- Market Research -
For pretty much all of the income
streams on this website this is
already 90% done for you.
- Product Creation -
You don’t have to actually create one
yourself. As you can see from this
website affiliate opportunities
abound.
- List Building - We
choose to skip this for the most part
but may change our minds one day. Or
we may not.
- Copy Writing -
There are right ways and wrong ways,
but as long as you learn the basics
you will be way ahead of a large
percentage of the
“dreamers.”
- Traffic Generation
- There must be a thousand different
ways to get traffic to your site but
the general approaches are SEO, PPC
ads (text and banner), Blogs, Social
Media, Press Releases, Writing
Articles, Link Exchanges and Forum
Signatures, Free Classifieds and
Traffic Exchanges.
Will
you really help me? Absolutely. And so will
every other team member here. We all work
together to help each other achieve
success. This is the most fun part of all
of this for many of us. Well maybe
besides making
money...
What does _____________
mean?
Common internet marketing
terms-
Affiliate
- A person
who promotes a product or service for a
commission.
Back
End - Once you’ve
committed to pay for a product, another
page comes up asking you to buy
something else. Don’t be fooled. Most
of the time the back end offer will be
available for purchase down the road
anyway. This tactic works well because
the lead has already opened their
wallet or purse.
Banner
- A
graphic advertisement. Some of the most
common being (measured in
pixels) 468x60
(full
banner), 234x60
(half
banner), 728x90
(leaderboard),
120x600
(skyscraper),
160x600
(wide
skyscraper), 125x125
(square
button), 300x250
(medium
rectangle).
Campaign
- A
particular advertising approach for a
particular product. We use every type
of advertising out there on an ongoing
basis. These include text ad campaigns,
banner ad campaigns, Google AdWords
campaigns, email campaigns, article
campaigns, traffic exchange campaigns
and even offline campaigns including
placing ads in the classifieds section
of local newspapers.
Click
Through Rate (CTR) - The amount of
clicks on an ad (text link or banner
ad) as compared to its number of views
(known as impressions.)
Conversion
Rate - The percentage of
visitors to your website or sales page
that actually buy.
Copy
- The
actual text of a website or
advertisement. Professional copy
writers make big bucks as they know how
to write copy that produces sales.
Downline
- The
people who are below you in an MLM
opportunity.
Forced
Matrix - An MLM concept in
which the membership is "forced" into
downlines using different algorithms.
This is the most honest type of matrix.
Front
End - The product or
service offered that got the lead to
click on the ad.
HTML
-
Hyper-Text Markup Language. The most
common and oldest form of computer code
used for making the internet work.
IM
-
Internet Marketer.
Impressions
- Refers
to views of a web page or
advertisement.
JV
- Joint
Venture. The gurus are famous for
these. They trade lists and offer each
other’s products and services to their
leads.
Lead
- A term
used for prospective buyers.
Lead
Capture Page - Similar to a splash
page, but requires your email address
to get to the offer or sales page.
Hint: approximately 75% of the time you
can type anything into the fields of a
lead capture page and still get to the
sales page.
Link
Cloaker - A service used to
change and track your affiliate links.
List
- Usually
refers to an email list of prospective
buyers.
Multi-Level
Marketing (MLM) - Refers to a
business plan that relies on the
members to promote a product or service
and pays each member a share of
earnings from members below them
(levels). This concept has exploded on
the internet in recent years.
OTO
- One
Time Offer. This is a method that the
“pros” use because it works. You have
probably seen this. A lot of websites
offer something for free and when you
get past the sign up page you come to
the OTO page. This may be an upgrade
from a free membership or and entirely
different product. Don’t feel compelled
to take the OTO. If you were after
something because it was free, get it
for free. In our experience about 50%
of the time you will be offered the
deal again anyway.
PPC
- Pay Per
Click. Advertising based on the
advertiser bidding on clicks on their
ad. Google AdWords is the best example
of this.
Referral
- Someone
who has joined an opportunity below you
and is now in your downline.
Replicated
Website - A page that comes
with an affiliate opportunity that uses
your referral link. Best to build a
splash page for your opportunity or
product especially when promoting on
traffic exchanges.
Sales
Page - Usually a very long
web page that includes video,
testimonials and professionally written
copy to compel a person to buy.
SEO
- Search
Engine Optimization. Constructing your
website in such a manner as to make
your pages appear high on web searches
for relative content.
Spam
- Usually
refers to uninvited emails. Can also
mean using non-confoming tactics to
generate leads or traffic to a web
page.
Splash
Page - A short and concise
web page that compels a person to click
through to your actual product or
opportunity website.
Squeeze
Page - See Lead Capture
Page above.
Traffic
- In
internet parlance, the amount of
visitors one receives to their web
pages.
